I want to your grace even it is the smallest (Mark 7:24-30)

 

QT : In my perspective, the Gentile woman was shamed surely. Jesus tell her that you are not the first priority and you do not have the qualification to get my grace figuratively. But, the woman accepts it as fact. Amazingly, there is no anger in her attitude rather, she accepts her identity. 

It is right that she does not have qualifications to earn God's grace. But, she asks again for Jesus's healing. She already knows that Jesus came to the world to give his salvation to all of the world. She doesn't care for her humiliation but only seeks once more Jesus' healing and grace. She knew that her humiliation was smaller than the value of Grace that God would pour out for her.

Prayer : Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace which is poured out to me. I am the Gentile like this woman. I do not have qualifications before you. But, you gave me the great mercy and you adopted me as your people through your holy blood. I always want to seek your grace with conviction based on your great works already done for me. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
