Self-control, the purpose of my life (Titus 2:1-5)

 

QT : These is very practical advice for me. Actually, I am really surprised that the older man should practice self-control. In the secular area, the concept of the lifetime education is common. But, I think that its concept is very weak in the church. That's a shame. Even some people insist that I'm mature enough. But, God teaches us that we should develop ourselves continually. 

The other thing that I surprised that this self-control is requested by the standard for the church elders. From this usage of the Greek word, I could infer that every person, especially man should be trained by the standard of the elder. 

Prayer : Heavenly Father, thank you for acknowledging that I need self-control. I am getting old but I will not stop to develop myself according to your solemn will. I will practice self-control every day. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
