I rely on you, only you (Psalms 20)

 

QT : In the time of David, there were great weapons like chariots and horses. But, David decided to rely on only God his Lord. The Hebrew word translated as boast in the NLT version has another meaning as remember. Of course, the meaning of the word belongs to the context. But, I think that the connection between the boasting and the remembrance is critical. Only when we remember the almighty God, we can boast and rely on him. 

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I want to rely on you, only you. There are many things that promise me life itself for me. But, I realized that nothing can guarantee me my life and eternal life. I want to rely on you forever.
